Frequently asked questions
What is a credit?
A credit is what a job spends. A dub uses 1.5 credits for each minute of video and target language; subtitles use 0.2 and lip sync 5. Length is counted in 6-second steps, so a 2:03 video counts as 2:06. A video counts at least 1 minute for subtitles, 30 seconds for a dub and 40 seconds for lip sync.
Do some languages cost more?
Yes, 26 of them: Afrikaans, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Bosnian, Burmese, Estonian, Galician, Georgian, Gujarati, Hausa, Kannada, Kazakh, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Norwegian, Punjabi, Swahili, Telugu, Urdu, Uzbek, Welsh and Yoruba. They are voiced in two steps, so a dub or lip sync into one adds 0.5 credit a minute (a minute at least), and text to speech in one adds 1 credit per minute of audio (30 seconds at least). The language list marks them, the tool shows the total before you start, and subtitles cost the same in every language.
Do unused plan credits roll over?
No. Plan credits refill every month and the ones left expire at the refill. Pack credits never expire, so add a pack if one month needs more.
Which credits are used first?
The ones that expire soonest, usually your plan credits. Pack credits, which never expire, are spent last.
Do pack credits expire?
No. Credits from a pack stay in your balance until you use them, with or without a plan. The Starter pack is $9.90 for 15 credits.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes, from Billing in your account. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and its credits stay usable until then.
Can I change plans?
Yes, from Billing in your account. The new price and credits are shown before you confirm.
Can I get a refund on a pack or plan?
An unused pack, or the first payment of a plan with no credits spent, can be refunded within 14 days. Credits spent on a finished translation aren’t refunded, and failed translations are always refunded in credits. Duplicate charges are always fixed.
Do I get my credits back if a translation fails?
The credits it held go straight back to your balance — you don’t need to ask. Cancelling an upload or a run before it finishes gives them back too.
Is there a watermark?
No. Downloads have no watermark, free previews included.
How can I pay?
By card through Stripe’s secure checkout. Apple Pay and Google Pay show up there when your device supports them.
Do you have team plans?
Not yet. Each account is for one person; if your team needs several seats, contact us.
Are taxes included?
Prices are in US dollars. The final amount for your country is shown at checkout before you pay.
