What we collect when you translate or dub a video, which providers process it, how long we keep uploads and results, your rights, and how to delete it all
In short
- We collect your email, the videos you upload and the results we make from them.
- Your video and voice are used only to make your translation, never to train AI models.
- Uploads and results are deleted automatically when their storage time ends.
- We don't sell your data.
- You can delete a project, or your whole account, at any time.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, and a password hash if you use one.
- Your videos. The files you upload, the transcript and translation we write from them, the voices and subtitles we make, and any lines you edit.
- Voice tools. The text you turn into speech, the audio or video you send to the voice changer, and the voice samples you upload to clone a voice.
- Purchases. Which pack or plan you bought and your credit balance. Card details go to our payment provider and never reach us.
- Free previews. A one-way hash of your IP address, so a free preview can't be repeated without limit. The daily count is deleted after 2 days; a hash kept with a project goes when the project is deleted.
- Usage. Pages visited, the browser and device you use, and the country you visit from, through cookies and analytics. See our cookie policy.
How we use it
- To transcribe, translate, voice and subtitle your videos.
- To run your account, credits and purchases.
- To send emails you need: sign-in links, email verification, receipts. Product updates only if you turn them on.
- To answer support requests and reports.
- To stop abuse, such as bots running free previews.
- To understand which pages and features help people, in aggregate.
Your videos and voices
Your video is sent to the AI providers that do the transcription, translation, voice and lip sync, only to make your translation. A dub copies the voice of each speaker, learned from your video; that voice is used for your project and nothing else. A voice you clone with the voice cloning tool is learned from the sample you upload and is used only when you pick it. We don't use your videos or voices to train AI models.
Uploads and results are deleted automatically: free previews after 1 day, paid results after 30 to 90 days depending on your plan. Each project shows its delete date, and you can delete it earlier. When a project is deleted, its files and its IP hash go with it.
Voice tool results are kept for the same time as videos. A cloned voice stays in your account until you delete it; deleting it removes its sample and preview from our storage and from the voice provider.
Who processes your data
- Hosting and storage: Cloudflare, which also checks for bots before a free preview.
- AI providers: the services that transcribe, translate, voice and lip-sync your video, and that run the voice tools.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Email: our email provider, to send account and product emails.
- Analytics: Google Analytics.
Each receives only what it needs for its part of the work.
Your choices
- Delete a project from your projects page at any time.
- Delete a cloned voice from the voice cloning tool at any time.
- Delete your account from account settings. Your projects, files, cloned voices and unused credits go with it.
- Stop product emails with the switch in account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Ask what we hold or to correct it: contact us.
Security
Files are stored privately and downloaded through short-lived signed links. Only you can open your projects.
