Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to translate a video to English?
Preview the first 60 seconds of any video free. After that, a dub uses 1.5 credits a minute (subtitles 0.2, lip sync 5). The Starter pack is $9.90 for 15 credits and never expires; the Creator plan is $19.90 a month for 40 credits. 26 languages, such as Bengali, Urdu, Swahili and Welsh, are voiced in two steps, so a dub or lip sync into one of them adds 0.5 credit a minute (a minute at least). The language list marks them.
Which languages can be translated to English?
Any of the 70+ languages we support, including Spanish, Japanese, Hindi, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic and Russian. The spoken language is detected for you, or you can set it in the tool.
Can I get English subtitles only for my video?
Yes. Pick Subtitles in the tool: you get English SRT and VTT files and the original voice stays untouched. Subtitles use 0.2 credits a minute, a fifth of a dub.
Will it sound like the original speaker?
The voice is learned from your video itself, so viewers hear your tone and pace in the new language — no recording session. It works best on clear speech without loud music on top. Try the free preview first: it uses the same voice you would get on the whole video.
Can I translate a video to English for free?
Yes: one free preview a day without an account, 3 free previews a day signed in, and 3 credits when you verify your email. A preview is the first 60 seconds, dubbed into one language, and you can edit its script like any other translation.
Which English accent does it use?
The English voice is built from the speaker’s own voice, so it keeps their accent rather than a fixed American or British preset. Pick English (UK), English (Australia) or English (India) as the language and the script uses that country’s spelling and words. To change the voice itself, switch the speaker to a library voice before you generate.
Can I download bilingual subtitles?
Yes. Next to the English subtitles and the original-language transcript there’s a bilingual SRT or VTT: each subtitle shows the English line with the original under it, on the same timing. It’s ready on the review page, before any dubbing.
How long a video can I translate to English?
Files up to 2 GB. A free preview covers the first 60 seconds of any length of video. With credits, packs and the Creator plan take videos up to 30 minutes, Pro up to 60, and Studio up to 2 hours. A longer video can be trimmed to the part you need; only that part is processed and charged.
