Frequently asked questions

How much does the YouTube video translator cost?

Preview the first 60 seconds of any video free. After that, a dub uses 1.5 credits a minute (subtitles 0.2, lip sync 5). The Starter pack is $9.90 for 15 credits and never expires; the Creator plan is $19.90 a month for 40 credits. 26 languages, such as Bengali, Urdu, Swahili and Welsh, are voiced in two steps, so a dub or lip sync into one of them adds 0.5 credit a minute (a minute at least). The language list marks them.

Can I paste a YouTube link?

Not yet — link import is coming soon. For now, download your own video from YouTube Studio and upload the file. It takes a minute and keeps the best quality.

How do I add an audio track on YouTube?

Download the audio track for each language, then in YouTube Studio open Languages, add the language and choose Add audio. If your channel doesn’t show that option yet, you can download the dubbed video and post it on its own.

What about YouTube’s automatic dubbing?

You stay in charge. In YouTube Studio under Languages you can unpublish an automatic dub and upload your own track for that language — one in your voice, with a script you checked.

Can I translate the title and description too?

We translate what is said in the video. Titles and descriptions are added per language in YouTube Studio, on the same Languages page as the audio track.

Can I translate Shorts?

Yes. Download the Short and upload it like any other video; a Short up to 60 seconds fits inside the free preview. The dubbed video comes back in the same vertical format.

Can I translate someone else’s video?

Yes. Translate videos you own or have the rights to, and only clone the voices of people who agreed to it. Videos that impersonate someone or use a voice without consent break our content policy and are removed.
